How Lean Brand Development is Changing the Game

The Lean Startup methodology has taken the world by storm. With the concept credited to Eric Ries in 2011, the term “lean” refers to an expedited and waste-free solution to launching a startup company. The lean method can reduce the market risks and sidestep the need for large amounts of initial project funding and expensive product launches and failures.

If the lean philosophy works to more effectively launch a product, could the same philosophy work to launch a brand? Our guest this month says, yes indeed!

Announcing the Launch of

ICF 2014 Global Consumer Awareness Study

The International Coach Federation seeks to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching. One way ICF achieves this is through a robust industry research initiative. The ICF recently released findings from the 2014 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study. A follow-up to the organization’s benchmarking 2010 Global Consumer Awareness Study, the 2014 study tapped into the minds and motivations of consumers around the world to ascertain awareness of the coaching profession and to gain insight. Let me share just a few interesting, key findings:

  • Overall 58% said they were aware of professional Business and/or Life Coaching.
  • Among coaching consumers, both satisfaction and advocacy were high. 85% of coaching consumers reported that they were “somewhat” or “very” satisfied with the coaching experience.

More information about the 2014 Global Consumer Awareness Study, including data tables and a link to purchase the executive summary, can be found at:
